Want to make mashed potatoes in the blink of an eye? So prepare everything in advance, freeze and use whenever you like.
Steps

Step 1. Use good mashed potatoes, such as the asterix and monalisa variety

Step 2. Also use whole milk and butter when mashing the potatoes to get a better result

Step 3. Peel the potatoes

Step 4. Cook as usual

Step 5. Mash the potatoes to make the puree - use milk and butter/margarine if you prefer, but never shortening

Step 6. Allow to cool completely and then store in freezer bags – many prefer those with a zipper closure
Remove excess air and place in the freezer!
Tips
- Make sure the puree is cool before storing it. Even if it is only warm, moisture will form inside the plastic bag, which will turn to ice when you go to the freezer. In the end, during defrosting, this ice will make your puree watery.
- Put a little milk in the frozen mashed potatoes, heat and mix until it gets a nice creamy consistency.
- Preparing everything in advance, whenever you want mashed potatoes for lunch, just heat it up and eat it.
