Putting a background image in Word is important when you want to create general artwork, newspapers, and place a watermark or logo on the background of important documents. To do this, you need to insert the image as a fill effect.
Steps

Step 1. Open the Word document in which you want to add the background image

Step 2. Click “Layout” or “Design” and then “Page Color”

Step 3. Choose “Fill Effects”, which will open the menu of the same name

Step 4. Go to the “Image” tab and press the “Select Image” button

Step 5. Select the picture or image you want to put in the background and click “Insert”
The image will appear in the preview panel.

Step 6. Press “OK”
The image should now appear in the background of the document.

Step 7. Adjust the “Zoom” bar to check the entire page and see the result of inserting the image

Step 8. Click on “File” and choose “Options” to open the Word options window

Step 9. Open the “View” option in the left corner of the panel

Step 10. Check the checkbox next to “Print background colors and images” and give “OK”
This ensures that the background image will be correctly printed on the document.
