This article will teach you how to sync other calendars to the Outlook app on an Android device. Outlook lets you sync calendars from the web and services like Exchange, Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo and another Outlook account. You can also sync from other Android apps like Facebook, Evernote, Meetup and Wunderlist.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Syncing from a Different Account

Step 1. Open Outlook app on Android
It has a blue icon with the letter "O" and an envelope inside, usually located on the home screen or app drawer. If you haven't installed it, download it from the Play Store.
Use this method to sync from another online account's calendar, such as Gmail, iCloud, Exchange, Yahoo or another Outlook account. To sync using another Android app, such as Wunderlist, Meetup, Facebook or Evernote, see this method.

Step 2. Click the calendar icon in the lower right corner of the screen

Step 3. Tap the ≡ menu in the upper left corner of the screen

Step 4. Tap "Add Calendar"
It has a calendar icon with a sign. + blue, located in the upper left corner of the menu.

Step 5. Tap Add an account
This is the first option available from the menu at the bottom of the screen.

Step 6. Enter your email address and tap Add account
This must be the email associated with the account you want to add. Doing so will open a login screen for the selected account.

Step 7. Follow the onscreen instructions to login
The steps required depend on the account added.
- Gmail: Tap Next, enter your password and tap Next again. Scroll down and select Allow to authorize Outlook to access your Gmail calendar.
- iCloud: If you have double factor authentication enabled, login to your iCloud account at https://appleid.apple.com, then click Generate password under "Security" to create an application-specific password. You will need to enter the password for this account in Outlook.

Step 8. Add a description (optional)
It will only be used with reference to yourself.

Step 9. Tap the check mark

at the top right corner.
Doing so will save the account in Outlook, and sync your calendar.
- As long as you are connected to the internet, your calendar will automatically sync.
- To adjust which calendars are displayed in Outlook, tap the ☰ icon in the upper-left corner of the calendar, then tap the check mark next to it to turn it on or off.
- To change the color associated with a calendar, tap the gear icon next to its name and select a different hue.
Method 2 of 4: Syncing from Another Application's Calendar

Step 1. Open Outlook app on Android
It has a blue icon with the letter "O" and an envelope inside, usually located on the home screen or app drawer.
- Use this method to sync from an app that has a built-in calendar. Supported apps include: Facebook, Evernote, Wunderlist and Meetup. To sync a calendar from another online service (such as Gmail, Yahoo, another Outlook account, iCloud, or an Exchange server), see this method.
- If you don't have the Outlook app installed, download it from the Play Store.

Step 2. Click the calendar icon in the lower right corner of the screen

Step 3. Tap the ≡ menu in the upper left corner of the screen

Step 4. Tap "Add Calendar"

Step 5. Tap Calendar Apps at the bottom of the page
Then a list of apps with calendars that can be synced with Outlook will be displayed.

Step 6. Tap the + sign next to an app
Doing so will open the associated app or your login screen.

Step 7. Access your account in the selected app
Follow the onscreen instructions to log in if prompted. Not all apps require login.
If you're connecting to your Facebook calendar, and your account is already open in your phone's app, tap Continue as [Name] instead of entering your password.

Step 8. Follow the onscreen instructions to sync the calendar
For example, to sync your Facebook calendar, you must authorize Outlook to access it. After syncing, a blue checkmark will appear next to his name.
- As long as you are connected to the internet, your calendar will automatically sync.
- To adjust which calendars are displayed in Outlook, tap the ☰ icon in the upper left corner of the calendar, then tap the check mark next to it to turn it on or off.
- To change the color associated with a calendar, tap the gear icon next to its name and select a different hue.
Method 3 of 4: Syncing a Bing Interest Calendar

Step 1. Open Outlook app on Android
It has a blue icon with the letter "O" and an envelope inside, usually located on the home screen or app drawer.
- Use this method to sync a calendar of interest from Bing to your Android device. They include: televised sports games, TV programming, events and events.
- If you don't have the Outlook app installed, download it from the Play Store.

Step 2. Click the calendar icon in the lower right corner of the screen

Step 3. Tap the ≡ menu in the upper left corner of the screen

Step 4. Tap "Add Calendar"
It has a calendar icon with the sign. + in the upper left corner of the screen.

Step 5. Tap Calendar of Interest
This is the second option available from the menu at the bottom of the screen. Doing so will display a variety of public Bing calendar categories.

Step 6. Tap a calendar category
Then a list of sub-categories will be displayed.
- For example, tapping on TV will open a list of time zone categories.

Step 7. Tap on a sub-category
Doing so will display a list of calendars corresponding to the selected option.
For example, tapping a time zone in the "TV" category will display a list of television broadcast programming that can be synced. The "Sports" option has a sub-category for different sports, and another for different leagues

Step 8. Tap + to the right of the calendar name
It will then be added to Outlook.
- To adjust which calendars are displayed in Outlook, tap the ☰ icon in the upper left corner of the calendar, then tap the check mark next to it to turn it on or off.
- To change the color associated with a calendar, tap the gear icon next to its name and select a different hue.
Method 4 of 4: Resolving Timing Problems

Step 1. Make sure calendars are set to be displayed
If you are not viewing the appointments (or even the calendar), do the following:
- Open Outlook and tap ☰.
- Add a checkmark to the "Calendar" option under the "Calendar" header (if not present).
- Add a checkmark to other calendars not displayed.

Step 2. Enable access to your contacts
If events are not being displayed correctly, follow the steps below to ensure that Outlook has proper permissions to access your contact list:
- iPhone/iPad:
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap Outlook.
- Check that the switches beside "Contacts" and "Background Update" are set to the "On" (green) position.
- Android (menu name varies by model):
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Apps and select Outlook.
- If the "Contacts" option is not enabled, enable it now.
- Go back to Outlook and tap ☰.
- Tap gear icon.
- Select your account.
- Tap Sync Contacts.

Step 3. Reset your Outlook account
If your calendar still isn't syncing correctly, here's how to reset your account in the Outlook app:
- Open Outlook and tap the ☰ menu.
- Tap gear icon.
- Select the account and tap Reset account.
- If after a few minutes the calendar is not synchronizing correctly, delete the account in Outlook and add it again.
