The WhatsApp app is great for keeping in touch with friends, but the 16MB limit for uploading videos is too low. If you have a file larger than 16 MB, you'll have to split it into pieces to be able to send it via WhatsApp. This wikiHow article will show you how to upload great videos via WhatsApp.
Steps
Step 1. Tap the WhatsApp icon to open it

Step 2. Tap the Conversations icon

Step 4. Tap the name of the person you want to send the video to
This will open the chat page with her.
You may have to scroll down through the list to see all your contacts. You can also search for the person's name by tapping the search field at the top of the screen and typing their name. Then just tap into her conversation in the search results
Step 5. Tap the icon
This opens the phone's camera app.
Step 6. Tap the large video file you want to upload
If you prefer, you can record a new video now. Press and hold the circle to start recording video. Remove your finger from the circle to stop recording
Step 7. Slide and drag the right side of the video timeline to the left side
This cuts off the end of the video, creating a smaller clip. The farther to the left you go, the smaller the clip will be.
The video image will update and show the last frame of the video when you take your finger off the slider. You can continue making adjustments by dragging the slider left or right to make sure the video was cut at the best time
Step 8. Tap
to send the video clip to your contact.
This will take you back to the chat page with him.
If when you tap the Upload icon you get an error message saying "The file you selected is larger than 16 MB. The file cannot be uploaded", you will have to start again and crop the file to make it smaller
Step 9. Tap the icon
again.
Step 10. Tap the video you just cut
Step 11. Slide and drag the left side of the video timeline to the right
This cuts off the beginning of the video, creating a smaller clip. The farther to the right you move the marker, the shorter the clip will be.
Your goal is to include the part of the video you cut in Step 7 and cut out the part you already uploaded. Depending on the size of the video, you may have to crop it several times to be able to make sure all segments are 16MB or less. If it's not that big, you might only need to cut it once
Step 12. Tap
to send the video to its recipient.
