Method 1 of 3: Using GIFwrapped on an iPhone or iPad
Step 1. Install GIFwrapped on your iPhone or iPad
This free and popular app lets you convert GIFs found on Twitter into a downloadable format. See below how to get the app:

Open the App Store
- Tap Search in the lower right corner.
- Type gifwrapped into the search bar and tap Search.
- Tap GET next to "Gifwrapped". The app has a black icon with a white and green gift box inside.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to download the app.
Step 2. Open the Twitter app
It is blue and has a white bird inside. It's usually on the home screen or in a folder.
Step 3. Scroll down until you find the-g.webp" />
GIFs appear as video thumbnails, but with the word "GIF" in the lower left corner.
Step 4. Tap on the-g.webp" />
A row of icons will appear right below it.
Step 5. Tap the icon to share
It looks like a bracket ([) lying on its side with an arrow pointing up and is below the-g.webp" />
Step 6. Tap Share Tweet via…
This option will be at the bottom of the menu. This opens the share menu.
Step 7. Tap Copy Link
It is the second option on the bottom row of sharing tools. You will see a message saying "Copied".
Step 8. Go back to the home screen and open GIFwrapped
It has a black icon with a white and green gift box inside. It was placed on your home screen after installation, so it will probably be at the end of the icon list.
Step 9. Tap Search
It is the second icon at the bottom of GIFwrapped.
Step 10. Tap Use clipboard
This option will be at the top of the screen. In a few seconds, you will see a preview of the GIF.
Step 11. Tap on the GIF
This will display a larger version.
Step 12. Tap the Share icon
It will be in the upper right corner of the screen. A menu with sharing options will appear.
Step 13. Tap Save to Library
This option will be at the bottom of the menu. This saves the-g.webp
Method 2 of 3: Use Tweet-g.webp" />
Step 1. Install Tweet-g.webp" />
This free and highly rated app converts Twitter GIFs into a downloadable format. See below how to get it:

Open the Play Store
- Type tweet-g.webp" />
- Tap Tweet-g.webp" />
- Tap INSTALL. The app icon will be added to your app drawer.
Step 2. Go back to the home screen and open Twitter
His icon is blue and has a white bird inside. You'll usually find it in the app drawer.
Step 3. Scroll down until you find the-g.webp" />
GIFs appear as video thumbnails, but with the word "GIF" in the lower left corner.
Step 4. Tap on the GIF
A larger version of it will appear with several icons underneath.
Step 5. Tap the share icon
It is below the-g.webp
Step 6. Tap Tweet2gif
It's the blue icon with white wings inside. This will open a Tweet-g.webp
Step 7. Tap Download GIF
This option will be below the URL in the lower right corner. This downloads the-g.webp
You may have to tap ALLOW to save the file
Method 3 of 3: Use E-g.webp" />
Step 1. Access https://www.twitter.com in a web browser
You can use any browser, such as Chrome or Safari, to download a-g.webp
Step 2. Scroll down until you find the-g.webp" />
GIFs appear as video thumbnails, but with the word "GIF" in the lower left corner.
Step 3. Click the play button
It is the blue circle with a white triangle on its side. This plays the GIF.
Step 4. Right click on the GIF
A menu will appear.
Step 5. Click Copy Video Address
Now a direct link to the video version of the-g.webp
Step 6. Go to
This takes you to the website of EZGif, a well known video to-g.webp
Step 7. Right click below "OR paste url from video"
This option will appear in the part of the page where it says "Upload a video file". A menu will appear.
Step 8. Click Paste
The video URL will now appear in white space.
Step 9. Click Upload Video
It's the blue button below the URL. This uploads the video to the E-g.webp
Step 10. Edit the video (optional)
If you want the video to be converted to-g.webp
Click the play button in the middle of the video to see what the changes look like
Step 11. Click Convert to GIF
Once the-g.webp
Step 12. Edit the GIF
Now that the file has turned into a GIF, you will have different tools to use. Below are some of the most common ones:
- Click Crop to crop parts of the image and Resize to adjust dimensions.
- If you want to add text, click Write.
- To make the speed higher or lower, click Speed.
Step 13. Click Save to download the GIF
It is the disk icon that will be at the end of the icon bar, below the GIF. This saves the-g.webp
