Want to know how to transfer movies downloaded on your computer (Windows or Mac) to a pendrive? Read this article, always making sure you are not breaking laws and only passing on legal content. Generally, you will need to buy a movie before you can download it.
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Downloading a Movie

Step 1. Search for the movie you want to get
There are many places you can find this type of content, from YouTube to file download sites. To get them legitimately, you'll need to buy them first.
- Paying for videos is the only way not to break the laws of Brazil.
- On torrent sites, use uTorrent or BitTorrent to get them.

Step 2. Check if the selected movie is safe
When downloading anything from the internet, be very careful for sites with invasive ads or persistent pop-ups that are too numerous, as well as those that don't have "HTTPS" before "www".
- If possible, see what other people have said about the movie and the grades you've received. Avoid the site if other users have reported viruses or some other inconvenience.
- Also, be sure to check that the movie's format is compatible with your TV, computer, or any other device you want to watch it on.

Step 3. Download the movie
This button can be available in several ways: a rectangle with the word “Download”, a down arrow icon, and the like.
- Depending on your browser settings, it may be necessary to define a download location (the Desktop, for example) before the transfer actually starts.
- Be wary of fake download buttons. There are some malicious addresses that disguise it as an advertisement or advertisement; the right button will likely be a simple link, not a big green icon.

Step 4. Wait for the download to finish
Once it's finished, you can transfer it to a USB device.
Part 2 of 3: Performing File Transfer on Windows

Step 1. Connect the pendrive or external hard drive to the computer via the USB input

Step 2. Cut the movie file by clicking on it and pressing the shortcut Ctrl+X
It will be transparent.
If you want to keep a copy of the file on your computer, use the shortcut Ctrl+C to just copy it

Step 3. Open the “Start” menu by clicking on the Windows logo

in the lower left corner of the screen.

Step 4. Open “This Computer”
Enter this computer and click on the result of the same name at the top of the "Start" menu.

Step 5. Access the USB device
In the "Devices and drives" section, almost in the middle of the window, double click on its name,
If nothing appears under the section, double-click its title (“Devices and Units”)

Step 6. Paste the movie file
After accessing the device window, press Ctrl+V to paste the item you had copied or cut; the icon will appear on it, but you will need to wait a while for the transfer to complete, especially if the file is large (more than 1GB, for example).

Step 7. Safely remove the external pendrive or hard drive
After performing the transfer safely, click the USB icon (similar to a USB stick) in the lower right corner of the screen and select “Eject [device name]”. You will be able to physically remove it.
- Sometimes you will need to click
Android7expandless to find the USB icon.
Part 3 of 3: Transferring Files on Mac

Step 1. Connect USB to computer; it should fit into the Mac's rectangular slot
If it doesn't have 3.0 (rectangular) inputs, you'll need either a Thunderbolt 3 to USB adapter or a USB-C device (oval)

Step 2. Open the Finder by clicking on its icon (a blue face

) on the Mac Dock.

Step 3. Find the file you want to transfer
Go to the folder where the downloaded movie is located.
By default, browsers store downloaded files in the Mac's “Downloads” folder. It can be opened by clicking “Downloads” on the left of the Finder window

Step 4. Copy the movie file
Click on it to select it, choose “Edit” at the top of the screen, and select “Copy [name]” from the pop-up menu that appears.
For example: if the movie's name is “The Hobbit (English)”, choose “Copy The Hobbit (English)” from the “Edit” drop-down menu

Step 5. Click on the USB device name in the lower left corner of the Finder
Its contents will be displayed in the main Finder screen.

Step 6. Paste the movie file
On the pendrive or external hard drive screen, select “Edit” again and click “Paste Item”.

Step 7. Click on the “Eject” icon (an up arrow

) to the right of the device name in the Finder.
This must be done after the movie transfer is complete.

Step 8. Then you can remove the pendrive from the computer to finish
Tips
- You must always trust the source that provides the movies before downloading them.
- It is usually much safer to download torrents than files from random websites. You can review the download's comments and note before getting it to see if it's safe; if you don't find notes or comments (or if the ratings are negative), don't download the content.
- When downloading a torrent, you may find that there are too many files in the same folder, such as text documents or sample movie images, and they are unnecessary. Before downloading, if you have the option, uncheck the items you don't want to get.
