You can import an image into Photoshop on both computers and mobile devices. Steps
Method 1 of 2: Using Photoshop on a Computer
Step 1. Open Photoshop on your PC or Mac

Step 2. Open the file you want to use
To do this, click on the menu File, select Open, and then double-click the file.
- To create a file, press Ctrl+N(Windows) or ⌘ Cmd+N (Mac), name the file, then click OK.
Step 3. Click on the New Layer icon
It is in the lower right corner of the Layers panel. It has a design of a square sheet of paper with a turned corner. This creates a new layer.
Step 4. Click on the File menu
It is in the upper left corner of the screen.
Step 5. Click Insert…
This option is in the middle of the menu. This opens your computer's file explorer.
- This option may be marked as Insert Embedded in some versions of Photoshop.

Method 2 of 2: Using Photoshop Mix on a Phone or Tablet
Step 1. Open Adobe Photoshop Mix
The icon for this app has the design of two overlapping circles. You can find it on your home screen, in the app drawer, or by searching your device.
- If you don't already have Adobe Photoshop Mix, you can download it for free from the Google Play Store (Android) or the App store (iOS).
- The Photoshop Express app only supports editing one image at a time and you can do this by tapping Open by the menu File. However, Photoshop Mix requires an Adobe Suite subscription to use. You can use the app in the trial version for seven days.
Step 2. Login to your account or register if prompted
Step 3. Tap the blue circle with a plus (+) icon
You can find it in the bottom right corner of the screen. This is the button to create a project.
Step 4. Tap Device
If you have images already saved on your phone, this will take you to the local images folder. You can tap into other storage locations too, if you like.
Step 5. Tap an image
You can further edit this image using all the tools that are appearing above and below it.
Step 6. Tap the small white circle with the plus (+) icon
You will see it on the right of the image. Tapping it will bring up a window to open another image.
Step 7. Tap Device
If you have images already saved on your phone, this will take you to the local images folder. If you have pictures saved in other folders, tap in different places until you find them.
Step 8. Tap an image
The second image will be on another layer in the Mix. You may have to resize the screen in the app.
You can further edit this image using the tools above and below it
Step 9. Tap on the images to switch from one layer to another and from one image to another

Step 11. Tap Save to Gallery to save a copy of your creation
