A milkshake, even made without ice cream, can be incredibly tasty. If ice cream is out of stock or not to your liking, there are several excellent ways to make a delicious milkshake.
- Preparation time (blender): five minutes
- Cooking time (mixing): 30 to 60 seconds
- Total time: five to 10 minutes
Ingredients
Blender milkshake:
- 12 ice cubes
- Two glasses (475 ml) of milk
- One teaspoon (5 g) of vanilla extract
- 100 g of sugar
- Chocolate syrup or other flavor (optional and to taste)
Milkshake in the bag:
- Two glasses (475 ml) of whole or skimmed milk
- One teaspoon (5 g) of sugar
- 12 ice cubes
- A dash of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon (a pinch) of salt
- Chocolate syrup or other flavor (optional and to taste)
Milkshake with crushed ice:
- Milk (enough for one cup)
- Syrup or fruit of your choice (to taste)
- crushed ice
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Blender Milkshake
Step 1. Take two cups (475ml) of milk, one teaspoon (5g) of vanilla extract and chocolate syrup (if desired)
Put the ingredients in a blender and blend them for 15 to 20 seconds, helping to circulate the air.
The thicker the milk used (2%, for example), the creamier the drink will be
Step 2. Put 100 g of sugar in a blender
Mix ingredients for five to 10 seconds.
Step 3. Add ice
This works best with pre-crushed ice. Watch it during mixing - if it gets too dissolved, the milkshake may be thin.
Step 4. Serve and enjoy
Consume the milkshake right away - it feels better chilled, while ice gives it an interesting texture.
Method 2 of 3: Milkshake in the Bag
Step 1. Take a small plastic bag and fill it with milk
The most important thing is that it allows it to be sealed off again.
Step 2. Put a teaspoon of sugar into the milk
Mix the ingredients.
Step 3. Add a few drops of vanilla extract or essence
Mix the ingredients well.
Step 4. Fill the plastic bag halfway with ice
It needs to have space to hold a smaller bag and still be sealed. A four liter bag is ideal for this.
Step 5. Place the bag with the mixture inside the plastic bag
Ice will only serve to catalyze chemical reactions and will not be consumed. It will remain separated from the milk mixture at all times.
Step 6. Add 1/4 of a teaspoon (a pinch) of salt to the inside of the plastic bag
This step refers to exothermic reactions, being essential for the thickening of the mixture.
Step 7. Mix for about five to seven minutes or until the milkshake is creamy
The mixture needs to be shaken vigorously to thicken. If it's been seven minutes and it's not dense enough, shake it some more.
Step 8. Open the bag and pour the mixture into a glass
Enjoy your drink!
Method 3 of 3: Crushed Ice Milkshake
Step 1. Add ingredients to blender
If using fruit, cut them into small pieces.
Step 2. Mix the ingredients until they form a homogeneous paste
Step 3. Add crushed ice
Mix well.
Step 4. Pour the mixture into a glass
Crushed ice will leave the mixture icy and creamy in texture.

- You can put a towel in the plastic bag to keep your hands from getting cold when you shake the mixture.
