Ingredients
Soda with ice cream (classic version)
- Vanilla ice cream
- Coke soda
Salted version with candy
- 950 ml of heavy cream
- 1 cup of sugar
- 6 yolks
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 450g of sliced bacon
- 2 L of cola soda
- Ice cream machine
Soda cocktail with ice cream
- 450 ml of whipped cream vodka
- 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla essence
- 2 tablespoons of sour cream
- 1 cup of cola soda
- Ice
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Making Soda with Ice Cream (Classic Version)
Step 1. Fill ¾ of a glass with cola soda
Place the glass on top of a small plate so that it will hold what spills over if it happens. Add the soda slowly to prevent it from overflowing.
- For best results, use cold soda.
- You can also freeze the glass by leaving it in the freezer for about 10 minutes before starting the recipe.
- If you add the soda first and then the ice cream, the mixture will foam just a little. If you prefer more foam, add the ice cream first and then the soda.
Step 2. Add ice cream
Slowly place a scoop of ice cream into the cup. If you have more space and you want more ice cream, add another ball.
- For best results, ice cream should be firm. If it's too hard and you can't get it, leave it out of the freezer for a few minutes.
- If the ice cream sticks to the tongs, use a spoon to get it out.
Step 3. Cover
Put some soda on top of the ice cream. That little bit will turn to foam. Keep pouring the drink until the glass is full.
- Tilt the glass a little to add the soda and reduce the amount of foam.
- Fill until the soda is just above the ice cream.
Step 4. Knock (optional)
If you prefer the traditional black cow, let the drink rest for 5 to 10 minutes and place in a blender. The ice cream will melt a little, but don't wait too long or it will get hot.
Beat in a blender until the mixture has a consistency between melted ice cream and milkshake. Add more soda to thin or more ice cream to thicken, whichever you prefer
Step 5. Serve
Put a spoon in the cup and a straw. Eat or drink slowly starting with the frozen foam on top, scooping up ice cream and soda with your spoon. Use the straw to drink what's left (or to drink it all, if you've made a traditional black cow).
Method 2 of 4: Salted and Sweet Version
Step 1. Bake the bacon
Yes, bacon! Place the slices on a baking sheet and place in a preheated oven at 180 °C until crisp (this will take about 10 minutes). Make a pound of bacon.
- You can also fry it.
- Try this variation of the black cow to add an unexpected twist to the drink.
Step 2. Mix the bacon with 950 ml of heavy cream
Once the bacon is done, place the slices in a bowl and pour the cream over them. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Don't pour all the bacon fat over the cream.
Step 3. Mix the sweet ingredients
Take a bowl and add six egg yolks, 1 cup sugar (you can use honey if you prefer), 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon vanilla essence. Stir until smooth.
If you prefer the vanilla flavor to be stronger, add 2 tsp
Step 4. Mix it all up
Remove the bacon and sour cream mixture from the fridge and heat it on the stove until the cream softens. Add the other mixture now.
- Don't pour all the egg, sugar, etc. mixture. at once. Put one cup at a time and start mixing. This way the yolks will not curdle.
- Stir slowly until everything has a delicacy texture.
Step 5. Allow to cool
Remove pan from heat and sift mixture. Let it cool in the kitchen at room temperature or a place cooler than that.
Step 6. Make ice cream
Put the mixture in the ice cream maker and turn the crank according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Once it thickens, place the ice cream in the freezer to harden.
- For best results, let the ice cream harden overnight.
Step 7. Fill ¾ of a glass with cola soda
Place the glass on top of a small plate so that it catches what spills over. Add the soda slowly so as not to overflow.
- For best results, chill the soda first.
- If you put the soda first and then the ice cream, the drink will have little foam. If you prefer a lot of foam, reverse the order.
- You can also freeze the glass by placing it in the freezer for 10 minutes before putting the soda.
Step 8. Add ice cream
Put a scoop of ice cream in the cup (or glasses). If you have more space and want more ice cream, add another ball.
- For best results, chill ice cream. If you can't pick it up because it's too hard, leave it out of the freezer for a few minutes to soften.
- If the ice cream sticks to the tongs, use a spoon to get it out.
Step 9. Cover
Put some soda on top of the ice cream. This will turn to foam. Keep pouring until the cup is full.
- Tilt the glass and pour the soda slowly to reduce the amount of foam, or add the ice cream first and then the soda to make the glass full of foam.
- Fill the cup until the soda level is higher than the ice cream.
Step 10. Beat the mixture (optional)
If you prefer to make black cow, let the drink rest for 5 to 10 minutes for the ice cream to melt. Just don't leave too much time or everything will heat up.
Blend in a blender until it has a consistency between melted ice cream and milkshake. Add more soda to thin or more ice cream to thicken, depending on your preference
Step 11. Serve
Put a spoon and/or straw in the cup. Eat or drink slowly, starting with the foam, then scooping up the ice cream and soda with your spoon. Use the straw to drink the rest.
Method 3 of 4: Making Soda Cocktail with Ice Cream
Step 1. Fill a large glass with ice
Freeze the cup in the freezer for 10 minutes, if preferred. When soda and whipped cream come into contact, they create a reaction much like soda and ice cream.
- This drink is great to serve at parties.
- Drink responsibly at all times!
Step 2. Add the whipped cream
Place 2 tablespoons of whipped cream, 450 ml of whipped cream vodka and ¼ teaspoon of vanilla essence on ice. Add ingredients slowly and one at a time.
- If you prefer the drink to have more vanilla flavor, add ½ teaspoon.
- Make the drink stronger or weaker by regulating the amount of vodka.
Step 3. Add the refrigerant
Put it over the mixture carefully. This will create some foam. Shake well.
- You can also add a vanilla ice cream scoop to make the cocktail creamier.
- If you want more foam, put a scoop of ice cream in the glass with ice and then put the soda on top.
Step 4. Good drink
Place a straw and stir frequently to keep everything mixed. Always drink responsibly.
Method 4 of 4: Experimenting with Revenue Variations
Step 1. Use other ice cream flavors
Vanilla is the most traditional one, but that doesn't mean that the recipe is limited to it. Try using chocolate, flakes, lemon or whatever you like!
Unleash the creativity. You can even use more than one flavor in your dessert
Step 2. Try using other flavored sodas
Orange, lemon and guarana are the most common.
- You can make this recipe with almost any carbonated drink, so if you're avoiding soft drinks, use cider or similar!
- Try mixing fruit flavored soda with ice cream or fruit flavored sorbet too.
Step 3. Put on a trim
Add some whipped cream, a cherry, powdered cinnamon or sugar.
Tips
- Make various types of soda and ice cream flavors available to your guests so they can create their own recipe.
- If you put the soda first and then the ice cream, there will be little foam. If you prefer a lot of foam, do the opposite.
