Liquid smoke flavoring can be added to the food to achieve a smoky flavor without actually smoking it. There are different brands and flavors available in grocery stores, but you can also learn how to make this product at home. Making homemade liquid smoke can give you a comparable taste at a lower cost, plus it adds less chemicals.

Make Liquid Smoke Step 1

Step 1. Fill your grill with the wood chips of your choice and use them to cook your food

Do not use any flammable liquid on the chips, nor use chips coated with flammable liquid. If the chips have flammable liquid on them, they cannot be used to make liquid smoke, because the chemicals in the liquid will become part of the end result and it will not be safe to eat.
