To leave your meals with a special taste without too much work, a good option is to prepare a garlic butter sauce. Most recipes only require a few ingredients, and you can use the sauce in either pasta dishes or as a seafood spread. The classic garlic butter sauce, for example, is perfect for steamed lobsters and crab legs. For a more complete meal, just prepare a creamy sauce and serve with fettuccine. A third option is to make a lemon garlic butter sauce and serve it as a spread for bread and seafood.

Method 1 of 3: Making a Garlic Butter Paste
Step 1. Melt the butter
Place 1/3 cup (75 g) of butter in a small saucepan. Light the heat on medium low and let the butter melt slowly. Do not melt it over high heat so that it does not burn or spill on you or in the kitchen.
Butter can be either salted or unsalted, but avoid using margarine or any other substitute, as these products contain a lot of water and processed oils
Step 2. Brown the garlic
Peel a clove of garlic and mash it with the blade of a knife horizontally. Toss the garlic into the melted butter and fry it over medium low heat for one to two minutes.
When the garlic is ready, it will start to smell
Step 3. Mix the herbs
Add two teaspoons of dried oregano and 1/4 teaspoon of dried basil to the pan and mix well. Use the sauce immediately. Once cooled, the butter can begin to settle.
To make the recipe more flavorful, use fresh herbs instead of dehydrated. Just mix four teaspoons of oregano and 1/2 teaspoon of basil, both sliced
Method 2 of 3: Making Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce
Step 1. Melt the butter with the garlic
Place two dessert spoons (30 g) of butter in a medium saucepan and add two sliced garlic cloves. Light the heat to medium temperature and melt the butter.
The garlic will brown as the butter melts
Step 2. Add the flour and cook the mixture
Add two tablespoons of flour to the pan and stir well. Leave the mixture on the fire for a minute.
As you cook, the mixture will start to thicken
Step 3. Add liquid ingredients
Add ¾ cup (180 ml) of chicken, meat or vegetable stock and ¾ cup (180 ml) of milk, stirring constantly until the sauce boils and thickens.
Put the sauce in a blender or food processor if it gets too lumpy. Beat it until it is very creamy
Step 4. Season and serve the creamy garlic butter sauce
Turn off the heat and add two teaspoons of dried parsley and salt and pepper to taste. The sauce is delicious with pasta.
If you prefer to use fresh herbs, add four teaspoons of fresh sliced parsley instead of dehydrated
Method 3 of 3: Making a Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce
Step 1. Melt the butter with the garlic
Place a dessert spoon (15 g) of butter in a medium saucepan. Slice the garlic cloves to fill a dessert spoon (about 10 g) and throw them in the pan. Put the heat on medium temperature and melt the butter. Leave the mixture on the fire for a few minutes.
As the butter melts, the garlic will start to brown. At the end of the process, it should already be brown
Step 2. Melt the rest of the butter
Add the other 15 dessertspoons (210 g) of butter to the pan and turn the heat all the way down. Stir until butter is completely melted. This should take a maximum of two minutes.
Step 3. Squeeze the lemon and add the herbs
Squeeze a fresh lemon into two dessert spoons of juice and turn it in butter. You will also need a teaspoon of ground black pepper and four teaspoons of fresh cilantro. Keep the heat low and cook the ingredients without stirring for ten minutes.
- You can serve the sauce as soon as it has finished cooking or sift it to remove solid residue.
- Lemon sauce can be used as a pastry or pasta sauce.
