Jesus gave his life for us so that we might have life in abundance. He redeemed us from our sins by paying the high price of the cross. So why don't we offer our lives in the service of the Lord? Living for the Savior is more significant than living for ourselves. However, we often ask ourselves how we can follow in Jesus' footsteps in such a way that many are saved through us, through His divine intervention, and if we cannot save many, that we can at least save one. Next, you'll look at important steps that will practically teach you how to bring your inner being to life.
Step 1. Pray
This is your way of establishing a personal relationship with God. We can talk to Him as if we were talking to our Father, or we can recite the prayer Jesus taught us through his disciples: "Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be your name. Thy kingdom come. Thy kingdom be done. will, on earth as in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, forgive our trespasses, as we forgive those who have offended us. Let us not fall into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.".
Step 2. Live according to God's call
Every human being is precious in the Father's eyes. He wants us to live happily and successfully. Cultivate a good habit of reading Christian books, watching religious programs, and helping others.
Step 3. Follow Christ's teachings
Christ's teachings are presented to us in the Bible and by the churches. Attend Sunday services or masses, to thank the Lord for having saved us from many difficulties and tribulations.
Step 4. Honor our God
Praise, give thanks and help your neighbor, because what you do to your brother, you also do to God. He is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent; Your spirit dwells in you. We should be grateful for who we are today. God is love. He invites us to live in his Kingdom at all times. It is up to us to accept or reject such an invitation. Kindly accept the Lord's open arms.
Step 5. Love yourself and your neighbors
We love ourselves when we show love to our fellow men. Even though we live in different physical bodies, we are all part of one whole: we are united in Christ. The gift of God's love brings us happiness, success, patience, harmony, peace, integrity, honesty, kindness, and hope.
Step 6. Stay on the path of goodness and righteousness
Doing good being good (like Christ) is a big step in itself. To not be fair (in the biblical sense of the word) is to condemn yourself to failure. We must overcome all iniquity through Jesus, who strengthens us. Our Lord has already conquered the world forever.
Step 7. Read the Bible
Spend 5-10 minutes every day getting to know the life of Christ and understanding His love in our daily lives. Meditate on the word of God. Our God dwells in us. But we will discover it in us only through Jesus Christ, not through desires and ideas, but through His perfect principles.
Step 8. Share your gifts
Jesus gave his life for us, the gift of salvation for all mankind. We must share our blessings, wisdom and riches, whether small or great. What we give to our neighbor is multiplied by God.
Step 9. Encourage the next
We must motivate, inspire and strengthen our fellow men. Do this to at least one person who is not a relative or loved one, but someone who lives close to you. Perhaps, in return, God will bring many, even millions, to inspire you.
Step 10. Cooperate with others
What you say may be different from what the other person thinks. What you say may be different from what you hear. So, we must co-operate with our neighbors and try to understand the point of view of others so that we can live enthusiastically.
- Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart. Let him in and he will work in your life for your good and for the good of God's children.
"Verily I say unto you, when you did it to one of these little brothers of mine, you did it to me," Jesus explained in Matthew 25:40
- Close your eyes to pray. Look for the presence of God. Jesus Christ is open to everyone.
- Don't blame yourself for not being perfect or too good. Be persistent, try to do your part. Get up and start again whenever you stumble over ideas, words and actions, whether your own or others.
- Don't be a stumbling block criticizing, condemning and complaining. Contribute to the fulfillment of Christian duties, whether they are yours or those of your brothers.
- Don't take Jesus' word for granted. Live in it and for it.
- Don't use Jesus' name to satisfy wrong "needs". Seek a higher calling.
