The French Foreign Legion is a mercenary military group that accepts recruits from all over the world. This organization promotes the "opportunity for a new life". Men who are accepted into the posts may eventually obtain French citizenship and opt for a five-year or even lifelong contract in their career as a soldier.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Basic Requirements

Step 1. You need to be a male between 17 and 40 years old
Young people aged 17 and a half can apply with the consent of their guardians or parents. You must still submit the application for recruitment before you reach your fortieth birthday.

Step 2. Make a passport
You must prove that you are a citizen of a country and that you have the ability to travel internationally.

Step 3. Have a clean registry
You may not be searched by Interpol or have any search warrants issued on your behalf. In some cases, people with criminal records are not accepted.

Step 4. Get in shape
You must train to meet strict fitness standards.

Step 5. Have extreme flexibility
The French Foreign Legion requires a commitment to five years of consecutive service. Your marital status, nationality, religion, education or professional preferences will not be taken into account if you apply.

Step 6. Learn basic French
All written and oral communication will be in French, so you should at least be able to read documents and recognize orders.
Method 2 of 3: Taking the Basic Tests

Step 1. Buy a ticket to the pre-selection center in Paris or Aubagne
You don't need to sign up in advance; but once he shows up at the office in Aubagne, he needs to be ready to serve for five years. Room and board will be paid for by you while you apply for the French Legion.
- Take with you everything you need for expenses, documents, underwear, training clothes, bathroom items and others that may be necessary.
- You will not be allowed to keep weapons, cameras, electronics or large amounts of money.
- You will need enough money to obtain a visa.

Step 2. Pass the fitness tests
You will need to perform at least four bars, complete a 2800 meter run in 12 minutes, and complete a Luc leger, a multi-step fitness test, running at least seven laps of 20 meters.

Step 3. Take the psychological and personality tests
Here there will be a series of interviews. You will be asked the truth about your past and your original life.

Step 4. Pass the medical examination
The following qualifications are required:
- In your mouth, there should be no more than six teeth missing.
- The eyes must not be less than -10 diopters in nearsighted people or greater than +8 in farsighted people.
- You must display proof that all previous problems have been treated and cured.
- You must not have tuberculosis, hepatitis, HIV, diabetes, mental disorders or chronic hernia problems.
- There shouldn't be any missing fingers.
Method 3 of 3: Progressing to the French Foreign Legion

Step 1. Go through the pre-selection process in Paris or Aubagne

Step 2. Sign the enlistment papers and the five-year service contract

Step 3. Go through the selection process in Aubagne
This is where you will complete physical, psychological and medical tests. You will then be informed if you have been selected to join the French Foreign Legion.

Step 4. Reconfirm your five-year service contract
Follow your incorporation into the Legion.

Step 5. Go to your training program for four weeks
You will learn about the Legion's lifestyle and traditions.

Step 6. Graduate from basic training
Then continue with technical and hands-on training for three weeks.

Step 7. Travel to the French Pyrenees and complete mountain training for a week

Step 8. Return for more technical and hands-on training
Afterwards, you will have to pass more exams.

Step 9. Enter the light vehicle school
Then return to Aubagne to receive orders for your placement in your regime. Complete the five-year contract.
