This article will teach you how to remove one or more notifications from the Facebook notifications menu. You can do this either on your cell phone, on an iPhone or Android, or on your computer, directly on the website. Unfortunately, there's no way to clear Facebook's notifications menu all at once, you have to delete each one individually.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: On iPhone
Step 1. Open the app
Tap on the Facebook icon, which is a white letter "F" on a blue background. You will see the News Feed as soon as you open it if you are already signed in to your account.
Otherwise, enter your email address (or phone number) and password; then tap Sign in
Step 2. Click on the "Notifications" icon
It's the bell-shaped icon at the bottom of the screen. By doing this, you will see the notifications history.
Step 3. Swipe from right to left over a notification
This will bring up the option Hide to the right of the notification box, written in red.
Step 4. Tap Hide
The option will be on the right side. By doing this, the notification will disappear from the list, that is, it will no longer appear when you open the "Notifications" menu.
- Repeat the process for each notification you want to delete.
- It may not be possible to do this process on an iPad, depending on the version of the Facebook app. In that case, access the site from a computer.

There are three horizontal dots, which are on the right side of each notification. After that, a pop-up window will appear.
Another option is to tap and hold on top of the notification
Step 4. Tap Hide this notification
It is inside the pop-up menu. This way, the notification will be removed from the "Notifications" list and from the activity log.

Step 2. Click on the "Notifications" icon
It's the bell-shaped icon on the upper right side of the page. A vertical menu will appear, containing the latest notifications.
Step 3. Select a notification

- For example, to delete a notification about a friend who has liked one of your posts, hover over "[Name] likes your post: [Text]."
- If you don't see the specific notification you want to delete, click see it all at the bottom of the vertical menu, and then scroll down until you find it.
