Steps
Method 1 of 2: Forwarding an audio message through iMessage

Step 1. Access the “Messages” app on the iPhone
His icon is a white speech bubble on a green background and should be on the home screen.

Step 2. Tap a contact's name to open a conversation with them
- If you can't find the person, scroll down and enter their name in the “Search” field that will appear at the top of the page.
- You can tap a pencil icon in the upper right corner of the screen to create a message.
- If you already have an open conversation with someone, tap the “Back” button in the upper left corner and you will be returned to the “Messages” menu.

Step 3. Tap and hold a microphone icon, lower and to the right
iPhone will begin capturing audio.

Step 4. Slide your finger to the left
This allows you to release the microphone icon and record the message.
Otherwise, you will have to keep your finger on this button for audio to be recorded

Step 5. Tap the red button when finished
Recording will end.
If you've chosen to hold a microphone icon, just let go

Step 6. Tap ↑, a speech bubble icon above a microphone, on the right and bottom of the screen
By default, audio stays in the iMessage conversation for two minutes.
Another option is to tap the “X” to the left of the iMessage field to delete the recording, or select “►” to play the message
Method 2 of 2: Using the Recorder app

Step 1. Open the iPhone app “Recorder”
His icon is represented by a black and white sound wave.
If you can't find it, swipe down the screen and type “Recorder” in the top search bar. The program should be first on the list

Step 2. Select the red button at the bottom of the screen
The device will start recording audio.

Step 3. Press this same button when finished and sound capture will be paused
Tap this button again to resume recording, if desired

Step 4. Select Done when satisfied

Step 5. Name the audio file
If you type nothing, it will appear with the name “New Recording” when you save it.

Step 6. Choose Save to store the recording and be taken to the page with all the audios you have

Step 7. Select the recording name
The last one should be at the top of the list in this menu.

Step 8. Tap “Share” whose icon is a rectangle with an up arrow
It should be in the lower left corner of the recording window.

Step 9. Choose the Message option
You will be taken to the message creation screen in the “Messages” app.

Step 10. Enter a contact name in the “To” field higher up on the screen
All matching contacts should appear in a drop-down menu under this field.

Step 11. Tap the person to receive the audio

Step 12. Press the “Send” button, which is a blue icon in the lower right corner of iMessage
Done, the recording will be forwarded to all the recipients you've chosen!
Tips
- Audio messages are very useful for replying while you are driving or cannot write.
- It's best to send a recording if you need to edit or cut the message.
