Need a mobile phone stand but don't have the time or money to buy one? It's simple: just use some basic materials that are scattered around the house or office! The accessory is a great puzzle for those who like to use the device without having to hold it in their hands. Read the article below and learn how to do it all using paper clips or clips, toilet paper rolls or old plastic cards!
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Using a Paperclip

Step 1. Take a paper clip that is at least 6 inches long
Take a look around your home or office and see if you can find a paper clip that's big enough to support the phone's weight. If possible, choose a piece that is coated with vinyl or plastic to avoid scratches and other accidents.
You can also make a tablet stand using a larger paper clip

Step 2. Open the clip as far as it will go
Take the clip in your hands and try to unfold it as far as you can. It's ideal to undo as much of the folds and curves as possible.
Use needle nose pliers if you cannot open the clip with your hands

Step 3. Fold the clip into three parts
With the clip straight, use the pliers to create two equidistant folds in it. Just place the tip of the accessory where you want to bend and form a 90º angle. Do this at points that correspond to ⅓ of the material.
The clip has to look like a flattened "U"

Step 4. Bend the two ends of the clip
Place the pliers head on the ends of the clip, 1.5 cm away from the ends, and bend them forward to form two small feet at a 90º angle.
These little feet prevent the phone from slipping out of the holder

Step 5. Fold both clip legs in half
Use the pliers to bend the clip legs (ie the "U" legs) in half, also forming 90° angles. The parts of the support that are vertical will serve as a base for the cell phone, while those that are horizontal will stabilize the accessory as a whole.
At this point, the support will be even more "U" shaped

Step 6. Place the cell phone horizontally in the holder
Place the cell phone on top of the horizontal parts of the holder, resting between the feet and the vertical base of the clip. The shape of the clip prevents it from falling forward or backward.
The little feet of the support must be in front of the screen. They will prevent the cell from sliding forward
Method 2 of 4: Using Paper Fasteners

Step 1. Take two different sized paper holders
Take a look around your home or office and try to find two fasteners: one that's about 2 cm wide, one that's 3 cm. Support only works if they have these different measures.
Black paper fasteners are the most common, but you can use colored pieces if you want to give the holder a more relaxed look

Step 2. Open the arms of the fasteners
The paper clamp arms can be in two different positions. To make the bracket, you need to open the two - so that they are on top of the plastic part.
The paper holder is closed when the arms are facing forward, away from the plastic part

Step 3. Place one of the arms of the smaller fastener inside the larger one
Open the larger fastener slightly and fit one of the arms of the smaller accessory into this opening. Then see if the two pieces are securely attached to each other.
You will place the cell phone against the arms of the larger holder

Step 4. Place the cell phone horizontally on top of the small holder
Make sure the stand is securely secured to the table (or other surface). Only then place the cell phone flat on top of the small holder.

Step 5. Add a third clip to the holder to change the angle of the phone
If you want to change the angle of the phone on the holder, simply attach another small holder to the large accessory. In this case, fit the lower arm of it into the opening of the new part. Finally, take a test and see if your cell phone is secure.
This way, you will be able to place the cell phone in an upright position on the stand. If you want to return to the horizontal position, just remove the third clamp
Method 3 of 4: Using a Toilet Paper Roll

Step 1. Crush a roll of toilet paper
Take an empty toilet paper roll. Lay it flat on the table and press it from above to crumple the cardboard.
You can also use a cut paper towel roll or other similar object

Step 2. Draw a line in the middle of the toilet paper roll
Place the toilet paper roll in a vertical direction from you. Next, draw a horizontal line through the middle of it using a ruler and a marker or pencil.

Step 3. Draw a diagonal line down the middle of the toilet paper roll
Using the ruler, find the middle of the horizontal line you just drew. Then connect this center point to one of the top corners with a diagonal stroke.
Make the diagonal stroke in the upper left or right corner. There's no difference

Step 4. Mark cell thickness in the middle of the horizontal line
Measure the thickness of your cell phone using the ruler. Then draw two perpendicular strokes from the middle of the horizontal line according to that value. One of them must be on top of the center point, while the other must be on the opposite side of that diagonal line from before. Also, both must be 1.5 cm long and point downward.
Modern smartphones are generally between 6 mm and 1.2 cm thick

Step 5. Cut out the roll following the lines you just made
Run the scissors through the toilet paper roll to divide the material into two parts: a larger one, which will become the holder, and a smaller one, which you will discard. When cutting out those lines that correspond to the thickness of the cell phone, connect them with a horizontal line to create a kind of depression.
Hold the roll tightly to prevent it from deforming as you cut it out

Step 6. Open the toilet paper roll and place the cell phone in the depression
Crumple the toilet paper roll with your fingers. Then stand it upright on the table from the straight base. Place the cell phone in that depression, horizontally, supporting the back of the cell on the diagonal section of the roll.
- The cell phone will rest diagonally against the roller.
- You can leave the toilet paper roll like that, but you can also decorate the stand with markers or stickers.
Method 4 of 4: Using a Plastic Card

Step 1. Get a plastic card that you no longer use
Take a look in your wallet or purse and see if you can find a credit card you no longer use. In the absence of a credit card, any other similar plastic object will do. Just don't forget that after the steps below, it's impossible to use it again for anything other than support. So, think carefully before choosing.
Don't pick up any cards that are valuable or difficult to replace, such as a gift card you haven't used or your CPF. Keep in mind that it will be unusable after steps in this method

Step 2. Fold the card in half horizontally
Hold the card vertically and fold it horizontally, trying to join and align the four shorter corners. Squeeze the plastic tight until it forms a "V".
- This fold will be a kind of tripod for the cell phone.
- The fold will be vertically between the longer sides of the card.

Step 3. Fold one end of the card horizontally
With the card still in the vertical direction, use the ruler to find a point that is 6 mm from one of the ends of the "V". Then fold this part in the opposite direction from the previous one (out of this "V").
- This fold will serve as a base for the cell phone when the stand is ready.
- If you cannot bend the card by hand, press the ruler against it.

Step 4. Place the cell phone on top of the card base
Place the cell phone flat on top of the base you just created on the card. The back of it should be supported by the inverted "V". Ready: support is finished.
